Arthur Robinson

Arthur Robinson was born about 1892 in Aycliffe. He was the son of George and Sarah Robinson, who were living in North Row in Aycliffe in the 1911 census.

Army number: 91348.

Arthur won the Military Medal and Bar. He served in the 22nd Battalion, DurhamLight Infantry. He and his brother Fred were prisons of war in Germany and attended a Welcome Home Dinner Concert and Dance held at the Temperance Hall, Darlington, on Wednesday, May 7th, 1919.

His brother Benjamin also served, Private 23022, 52 Nottingham and Derby Regiment.

His elder brother Walter was killed in 1917.
