Eric Boulby's parents were George Frederick Boulby (1895 - 1967) and Meggie McCormack. They were married in 1919.

Eric was born 1920. He married Amy J Smith of Acle, Norfolk at Acle in 1941. They had a daughter and a son. Their son, Eric Basil Boulby, died August 11, 1990 and is buried in Stephenson Way Cemetery, Newton Aycliffe.
