Fred Hadrick killed WW2

Fred Hadrick was born 1916 in Aycliffe, Co. Durham.

Parents: Henry Hadrick and Gertrude Raine.

Fred had an elder sister Elsie, born 1912, and brother Thomas Michael, born 1914. Thomas later married Ida Boddington, who kindly provided the photograph of Fred.

Airforce number: 1004389. Rank: Leading Aircraftman. Unit: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

Fred died February 16, 1944 whilst prisoner of war and is buried in Yokohama War Cememtery, Japan.

Fred's will states that he lived in Oakcliffe House, Aycliffe. He left £457 18s 8d. His will was administered by his widowed mother Gertrude July 2, 1945.
