George Ernest Foulger, perhaps

George Ernest Foulger was born 1896 in Stockton. He was the son of George Henry Foulger and Ada Caroline Lawrie, who were living at Filey Road, Stockton on Tees in the 1911 census. George himself was at his uncle Arthur Foulger's home at Esh Winning, Co. Durham. He was a Boiler Maker Helper, age 16.

George served in B Company, 9th Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment. He died from his wounds June 13, 1917, age 22. He is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery, Grave II.D.40. This cemetery is 17 kms north east of Ypres.

George Ernest Foulger is the great uncle of Leigh Foulger of Newton Aycliffe.
