George Thomas Cox was born 1888 in Ramshaw, Co. Durham. He was the son of John Edward and Annie Cox. The family lived in Evenwood, Co. Durham.

In the 1911 census George Thomas Cox was working as a miner.

George was killed in action November 5, 1916.
