Taylor Peirson was born about 1889 in Darlington. He was the son of John Peirson and Elizabeth Mary Hodgson. In the 1911 census Taylor is single, living with his parents and 3 of his 5 siblings. They lived at 82, Westmorland Street, Darlington.Taylor's father was a railway engine driver, and Taylor himself worked as a railway clerk.

Taylor married Margaret Bamlett in October, 1913.

Taylor died of his wounds April 10, 1918, age 28. He is commemorated in the Haverskerque British Cemetery, Grave A.6. Haverskerque is north of Béthune, France.
